lineup subs

heres the scenario-bears (home team) & lions (visiting team)
top of 3, bears up by 16. bears coach was keeping score on ipad and wanted to sub 3 guys to hit in bottom of 3. while the bears were on defense he hit joe name on the ipad at 2nd base. the defense stuff came up on the ipad, bears coach selected offense and put jim to hit for joe. he also selected 2 others in the lineup to be replaced.
bot 3 came around those changes did not appear in the lineup of the iscore on the original screen (it stayed with the original lineup) and it threw him for a loop. he did not know how to go back and change it. by that time it was too late. does that make sense? what can be done to change this?
